Nick has been with Sheffield Private Tutors since Nov 2017 and tutors in Maths Key Stage 3 and Maths Key Stage 4. He previously taught in Sheffield and Doncaster schools, and was a Teaching Assistant working with students on the SEN register prior to teaching.
Nick enjoys trying to make topics as relevant and applicable as possible having got into teaching maths after studying engineering. The school in which he has previously taught placed heavy emphasis on core number skills and this impacts Nick's approach and priorities in tutoring mathematics. Nick is also musical and enjoys any opportunities to be more creative in his teaching (/sing a song) ...
In summer 2017 Nick left school-based teaching to allow more time with his family and to work on tutoring. He also works as a performance analyst- this involves watching a lot of football, and Nick loves a good football-based stat!
